Ch09 Pg11

And then, as a complete flip, this page came together in four days? I dunno, muses are fickle. See how long I can ride it for.

Also I'm enjoying this "violence from a distance" thing. Max is just an observer with a "professional" detachment, just another day at work for him. Even if back 3/4 on furries continues to be IMPOSSIBLE. Why do I do this to myself.

I know it's dramatic and all when a movie has a long range gunshot and the impact be instantaneous, and generally for fictional firefights it works. But how much fucking cooler is it in long range sniper scenes if the sound effects and reactions were more realistic? The bullet can be flying like, three times faster than the sound of the gunshot. In most long range shoots the bullet has landed before people even hear the rifle, and I think that's a rad narrative device to play with.

So while Todd and Emma aren't making a multiple km shot, there's still enough distance between them and Max to have a little fun.
