Whoof. This one took AGES. Not even because it's that much more complex than any one earlier background, it just took a lot of mental bandwidth for some reason.

Anyway that along justified slowing down a little on the upload schedule, for my own sanity.

I believe I mentioned this waaaaay back in Chapter Three, but I definitely had a lot of political apathy in my college years. I only learned to be a soy-boy lefty in my early 30's, embarrassingly for me. But yeah, the cast has a bit of that disinterest sometimes, and it seems extra funny given Todd's whole deal.

I also mentioned this over on the discord (way back in December 2025, hi from the past!) how this river front from here and Chapter 3 is pretty heavily inspired by Emmarentia, Johannesburg's Botanical Garden! I can't really do it justice, backgrounds are not my forte 😅 I do really like this one though, but finished, not perfect.
